1. What we collect

  • Account data — name, email, role (job seeker or employer), and authentication details, including sign-in via Google or GitHub.
  • Profile data — information you add during onboarding: experience, skills, education, portfolio links, preferences, and any resume you upload for parsing.
  • Assessment data — code you write, results, scores, and integrity signals for the sessions you take.
  • Optional proctoring photos — for employer-proctored assessments, and only with your consent, periodic still photos (no video or audio). Declining is always allowed.

2. How we use it

We use your data to operate the platform: generating assessments suited to your skills, computing scores and badges, matching job seekers with roles, and showing employers the candidates who chose to share results with them. We do not sell personal data.

3. AI processing

Assessment generation, resume parsing, and evaluation use AI services. Content you submit for these features (e.g. an uploaded resume or assessment code) is processed to provide the feature — for example, extracting skills from your resume to prefill your profile, which you can review and edit before saving.

4. Who can see your data

Employers see your profile and results when you apply to their role, accept their assessment invitation, or make your profile visible in talent search (you control this from your dashboard). Proctoring photos, when you consent to them, are visible only to the employer who invited you.

5. Retention

Proctoring photos are deleted automatically after 60 days. Account and profile data are kept while your account is active; deleting your account removes your profile from search and queues your personal data for deletion, except where retention is required by law.

6. Storage and security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (including Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL) using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, with role-based access controls between the job seeker and employer surfaces.

7. Your choices

  • Edit or remove profile sections at any time from onboarding/profile.
  • Toggle talent-search visibility from your dashboard.
  • Decline camera proctoring on any assessment.
  • Request an export or deletion of your data via the support page.
